  1. FYI! It was pointed out to me by a general practice physician that "the 0.8-1.0g protein per pound of body weight ratio for determining daily protein intake pertains to normal healthy adults. For kids and adolescents (who are growing at varying rates), and anyone who might be needing to heal up in some way (including from something as simple as a sunburn), the number can be surprisingly higher, even up to 2.0g protein per pound of body weight." Please be aware that many of you might be needing much more protein per pound of bodyweight than I need or than you are currently getting. Always consult a doctor or nutritionist to determine what is best for you!
