  1. Leucine is good, but you still need all 9 essential amino acids to gain full benefits for building new muscle tissue. This is why EAA’s is “superior” over BCAA’s. Leucine signals mTOR but in order for mTOR and protein synthesis to be sustained, you need all 9 essential amino acids.

  2. I see whey protein as a alternate food source. Alot of people who can't afford to bulk will take around 6 scopes of this stuff a cheaper and faster alternative. Definitely a good meal replacement

  3. Can consuming more protein (shake or other) make you thirstier? I'd love to hear if there is any research/scientific reason for it, cos I'm definitely drinking more with my increased protein intake!

  4. I bought a bottle of Whey yesturday and wonder if I should start eating it everyday or start by eating it about once or twice a week to get my body used to it. I usually eat quite healthy.

I'm not a lifter, rather a long-distance runner but I have a naturally bulk body and while I'd like to drop weight (burning fat ofc) I want to keep my muscle mass because… well, it's a natural gift 🙂 so I supplement with whey during recovery after long runs and take a few scoops a day when I'm only eating mostly carbs to refuel and this helps because it makes me feel fuller. I've been taking it for a month now and I must say it really does its job 🙂
