  2. we are turning life so much complicated that now we have to measure how many gr in each component of our daily food…

    being from a Mediterranean country, being obese is not that very common especially for areas where they maintained the traditional Mediterranean food style….else they just have an active life…

    my take on this, keto or any other too much controlled diet, each natural stuff as much as possible, exercise lightly on a daily basis…..have a life…don't die with a body with calculated percentage or fats, carbs etc….die with a happy life where you enjoy natural food and active lifestyle…..

  3. Dr Oz is now officially a Quack. Here is what they are not telling you … Your brain runs on sugar. When you start a high protein, low carb diet, nothing will happen on day one. Second day, naaaa. THIRD DAY your brain will call your liver and DEMAND sugar. Your liver will gather sources of sugar that are in your body so your brain can function. This process is called Gluconeogenesis. Your liver breaks down fat and muscle that contain any sugar. Yes you will lose fat, BUT you will also lose muscle. Now ask yourself, do you really want to lose muscle? Remember, your heart is a muscle.

  4. Once again it seems as though there is no doubt why the leading death of Cardiologists is Heart Disease! Keto is a great tool for the morbidly obese with no other alternative than imminent death. A good balanced diet like the Med diet,, pescatarian diet or a healthy vegetarian diet (Not a vegan chemical based diet), and a lifetime of healthy exercise. This daily exercise keeps the body functioning. Americans have had a new fad diet every 5-10 years touted as the new "miracle". There is no quick fix! Get off of your backside and move!

  5. High oil diets are bad for the body, even vegan oils. I think this would be better as a cleanse or a fast. Doing a fast from grains and carbs, rather than doing this as a lifestyle.

    Keto people also still need to eat at least 1/2 their protein or more from plants. Tofu, soy milk, edamame and tempeh are still low carb. Hemp protein powder and hemp seed is also low carb as are nuts and other seeds.

    Field roast makes really good seitan sausages which are good with eggs.

    A company called sweet earth has really good seitan / pea protein based bacon, sausage, and ham.

    Beyond meat has "beef" crumbles and sausages made from yellow spit pea protein and are soy and gluten free.

    The only products I like from tofurky are their bologna and pepperoni, everything else is trash, trust me.

    Eating a lot of meat and dairy is tearing up the environment. We could use 75% less farm land if people ate a plant based diet, and we would produce 73% smaller carbon foot print from our food.


  6. What ever happened to eating everything in moderation? I mean I grew up eating almost everything on the keto diet except I was also eating fruits and vegetables. I do agree we have to watch our carbs but some complex carbs are healthy like oatmeal so I guess I'm too old and I don't get it I'm 58 and I ate a well balanced diet with nuts fruits vegetables, fish, meat, eggs. I'm fine so what's the problem unless people are going crazy with processed foods and take it out!

  7. Ya.ll have to realize these tv show and YouTube doctors are telling you what you want to hear to get ratings and make money off YouTube. If they tell you the truth, they will tell you process meats cause cancer, and saturated fats are recommended to be low. Look up the WORLD HEALTH ORGANIZATION and AMERICAN HEART ASSOCIATION. All the successes of this dieting is short lived. No point in history has anyone lived off ketones. That's a back up reserve for when you don't have the carbs to give you energy. Why do people hate carbs? The healthiest and longest lived people on the planet live off high carbs. Look up BLUE ZONES.

  8. If you buy mixed nuts, you'll find that there aren't many brazil nuts in the can, and that's for good reason. If you eat too many, they're toxic. They're also hard to find in the store by themselves. Don't overdo it, folks—that's something many people practicing a ketogenic diet should be careful of in general. It's not about just eating a bunch of fatty meat and dairy. You need your leafy greens and cruciferous vegetables, too. You'll find, if you do it right, you don't have a lot of room for any other carbs than those, and you can't go eating 8-ounce steaks, either—not if you're doing it right.

  9. Great video, I advocate Keto diet for weight loss because the weight loss comes from loss of water because you cut down on carbs in your diet and your body uses up the carbohydrates stored in the liver, which hold onto water. I teach much of this in my videos on my channel.

  10. OK, so I don't think this is a healthy diet for people like myself who have heart issues. I do eat a hard boiled egg a few times a week with my salad. I don't think eating bacon and hamburgers and things like that is very healthy. I drink a veggie/fruit smoothie in the morning and have a large salad with kidney beans, avocado, red onion, sweet peas, hard boiled egg, shredded carrots and a creamy Italian dressing. I am back on intermittent fasting. 20/4 I feel better and so does my intestines. But this is just my life style and how I see things. I'm having concerns also for the poor animals 🙁
